Yoga For Immunity

We are navigating a world of uncertainty. With the massive spread of COVID-19 our world is slowly shutting down around us. From events being cancelled, stores being closed, and our interactions being limited to 10 people - with a safe 6ft space between us...we are finding a LOT of change and unease. The worst part of the unease is the anxiety - over time - weakens are immune system and makes us more susceptible to the ailments around us.

There are many articles being posted spouting how yoga helps us heal. Those of us who have been practicing yoga for many years have felt and experienced this first hand. As I like to call this - a healthy addiction. We yogis have found rest, relaxation, calm and peace from the amazing effects of deep stretching, breathing and meditation.

This past week, I was blessed to be able to attend a yoga teacher training for Thai Energy and the Biomedical Aspects of Yoga through YogaFit. One of the areas of focus in my trainings was lymphatic drainage. Moving the body in many ways helps to drain our lymph nodes. It is so interesting to me that our bodies don't naturally release the lymphatic system - we have to move to release those toxins out of our bodies.

The video shows some fun yoga poses to drain our lymph system. And - even more fun - you can see my sweet doggie, Bella Mae, playing yoga with me.

Some of the fun poses in the video include ways to move all of our joints -

I've also been making some special sanitizing products - with alcohol and essential oils - to help those near me combat the extra germs floating around each day. Contact me if you'd like special sanitizing gel, spray or wipes.

TODAY is also a super fun day! Last year I completed a technique on 23andMe, and found what my parents had told me whole life - that I'm mostly Irish 🍀- So - of course - I have to represent my ancestry with my fun shamrock outfit.

MORE than anything - what we need to remember is - Relax with Yoga - and Have FUN!!! Make it a priority to laugh and relax everyday!
