Kombucha Saved my Microbiome

What is microbiome anyway?

According to http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/1806911/human-microbiome we have A LOT of living organisms, mainly bacteria that comprise our internal systems. So, when our bodies aren't functioning at their optimal level, there is something going on with our microbiome.

Here's where Kombucha comes in -

So, what is kombucha anyway -http://www.livescience.com/44440-what-is-kombucha.html - this site gives the long answer, but it's basically a mixture of bacteria and yeast in brewed tea with sugar. There are many variations depending on the company, but they all have the same basic starter kit. And, you can make your own version at home!

I usually have no problems warding off the seasonal allergies and ailments that float through the air each season. However, beginning in December, I felt more allergy symptoms, and developed more sore throat feelings with my allergy symptoms. I am a firm believer in essential oils, and doterra has gotten me through all my symptoms, but I began to wonder why this was all happening.

So, as I began to read more about the internal systems of our body - digestion, respiration, etc. - I began to realize that my body was not functioning at its optimal level. My microbiome was off! Finding a natural solution is always my first choice, so I reached for kombucha. After drinking one container during the course of a few hours, my microbiome changed in just ONE day! I felt my digestive system operate more optimally, my allergy symptoms significantly subside, and felt overall significantly healthier!

So, the next time you feel "off" try some kombucha. See if it helps your health as it helped mine!
