#StretchIntoSpring

Spring reminds us of the beauty in the world. Flowers begin to bloom, grass turns green, trees gain new leaves and the world finds a feeling of rebirth. Seeing the growth of buds into blooms shows us all how transformation and change bring about beauty in life.

Along with the blooming flowers, the birds come back to the budding trees, and new life evolves around us. The transformation from caterpillar to butterfly has always amazed me. The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle was one of my most favorite books as a child. I was always amazed something so little could eat so much.

This transformation brings hope from the caterpillar's experience. Something completely new enters the world and gives a new perspective. An animal that once only saw the world from a branch or twig, now can fly around and see everything completely anew.

Spring is a great time to wake up our bodies. In the winter, when we feel cold, we often don't want to move as much. Our bodies can feel extra tight and the thought of stretching can seem unbearable. However, our whole being can find revival in the Spring, transforming our spines, muscles, joints, emotions and feelings from being bound and stagnant to being open and free. Yoga creates transformation in the body even after one practice, but over time creates a whole new being. Through yoga we expand on the wonder within us, and bring about the best part of our lives. Check out this article to read more about the research of yoga transformation.

If you've taken time off from stretching your body, or you're ready to feel transformation, join me as we say Hello to Spring!

The first day of Spring begins a fun week long Yoga Pose Challenge. There are pose variations for everyone! Each day will highlight a standard pose, and a transformation of that same pose. Contact me if you'd like a less intense or more intense variation for your body.

This challenge is only 1 week - so commit 7 days to share your body's variation of the day's pose - or your body's own transformation of the pose. To participate in the challenge -

1) Share this challenge with your friends and encourage them to participate as well - It's only 7 days! You can do it!

2) Take a picture of your body's variation of each days pose - or video - of transforming the pose

3) Share the pose with me - You can email or message me your pic - or tag me on Social Media - Facebook or Instagram - @clarissapyeattyoga - if your account is private I will not be able to see your pics - but let me know if you'd like me to friend/follow you to see your pics.

For those that commit to all 7 days of sharing, you'll be eligible to win this fun prize that reminds us of the beauty in and around us and protects our skin from the bright shining sun! The heart displayed in the pic is made in Africa and sold to support a deaf orphanage in Kenya. Check out their website for more information about this wonderful program.

Enjoy finding your stretch and transformation - through building strength, length, and flexibility - in the mind, body and soul. I look forward to seeing all your pictures!
